What Did I Get Now? - June 2020

Sep 11, 2020

Three months into the pseudo-quarantine the US is doing. The summer heat begins in earnest, though for me it's been too hot for two months.

Assuming I didn't get much in June (I haven't checked back through twitter yet), let's look at some pictures I took on our trip to the Redwoods last June, since I doubt I shared many of them last year. Pictured above, some lookout on the PCH, though now I no longer remember where exactly. Fog was starting to roll in as the sun was getting ready to set.

Presented without comment, toys enjoying the Redwood National Park in northern California.

And to finish everything off, my daughter arranging fallen flower petals on the ground for a photo she wanted to take.

Moving on to toys that arrived in June...I was setup with the elusive, amazon exclusive Siege Skywarp by a twitter friend. Didn't include any of the mini-cons, or whatever they're called currently, but I didn't care much. Just wanted the black, purple, and silver deco. Here seen with the Netflix Hotlink (aka fake-Skywarp).

Hot Wheels Super Star Destroyer

I received the ToyHax sticker set for the Generations Toys not-Constructicons. Someday maybe I'll even apply them.

As I supposed before beginning to write this, I didn't buy a lot in June. But I sorta made up for it by buying two big-ticket items, of Bandai Metal Build variety, first Char's Zaku II, to go with the 40th Anniversary RX-78-2 Gundam I got previously.

And then replacing a figure I had previously in my collection, but sold, Metal Build Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu Mina. I re-bought this because it is a beautiful figure (that I am fairly incapable of photoing well), and because those jerks at Bandai put up for pre-order a new variant of the Astray Gold Frame, the Amatsu Hana version, which will be a beautiful white variation of this suit, that hopefully I will be capable of photoing well, and which I wanted to display together.

And that was all I got for myself...Well, I pre-ordered three exclusive figures from the Premium Bandai store, the aforementioned Amatsu Hana figure, and the SHF Birth of Iron Man Tony Stark and Iron Man Mk I figures. Possibly ordered something else, but eh, those don't count until they arrive...

Father's Day is in June, and my awesome and gorgeous wife and awesome kids got me some movie behind the scenes books that I love owning (and reading, I swear some day I will read them all), and a great Star Wars book too.
Everything I Need to Know I Learned From a Star Wars
Captain Marvel (The Official Movie Special) Spider-Man Far From Home (The Official Movie Special) Thor Ragnarok (The Official Movie Special)

And that takes care of June. Stay tuned for the July recap, coming soon!
